Maine Coast Winter Getaway
Play in the Snow by Day, Relax in Your Room at Night
When the temperature drops, the vacationers and summer people head south, and Blue Hill and the surrounding areas settle in for the serene season. We await the first snowfall when the landscape is transformed into a winter wonderland.
Blue Hill, Maine is filled with people who do not like to hibernate in the winter! We cross-country ski, snowshoe, go for a sleigh ride, ice fish, take cooking classes and eat good food, listen to poetry, shop at craft fairs, and attend plays and movies. We watch the ducks in Blue Hill Bay and look for deer and moose. Check the calendar at Penobscot Bay Press for current listings of happenings in the area and plan your Maine Coast winter getaway today!
