Breakfast at Blue Hill Inn
Breakfast is served each morning between 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in our sun-filled dining room from mid-June through October. Fresh fruit, assorted juices, and freshly baked treats accompany a choice of cooked-to-order entrees or homemade granola.
Wild Maine blueberry pancakes, Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries, Omelets filled with roasted red peppers and brie, and our amaretto French toast are favorites among guests at our historic Maine bed and breakfast. Truly one of the best parts of your stay and a great start to your daily adventures.
During the quiet season, November through mid-June, enjoy a Welcome Breakfast Basket when staying in the Cape House and a full buffet breakfast when the Main Inn is open. Fresh fruit, assorted juices and freshly baked treats remain on our daily menu along with a warm entrée or homemade granola.
Locally Sourced Ingredients
Local ingredients, including locally grown wild Maine blueberries and organic Maine maple syrup, are featured at our Maine Coast bed and breakfast, as well as organic coffee from Maine roasted coffee beans. We offer a variety of egg dishes made with free-range, organic eggs.
Flexible To Your Needs
With all our offerings, food allergies and dietary restrictions are easily accommodated. menu options range from vacation decadence to watching one’s waistline. We are also able to prepare breakfast to go if your schedule necessitates an early departure.
Afternoon Refreshments
Homemade treats and hot and cold beverages are available in the parlor throughout your stay. Freshly baked cookies, chocolate-covered toffee, decadent cakes–one never knows what will emerge from the kitchen each afternoon. Fresh fruit, often local apples, is offered as well.
Innkeeper's Reception
Many afternoons, enjoy “happy hour” offerings of wines and craft beers for purchase from our in house cellar, along with fresh charcuterie board selections of meats and cheeses. Every month, a featured specialty cocktail is also available. Plan to join us for a relaxing time of socializing with the Innkeepers and other Inn guests!
